The policy will cover you for the failure of electrical and mechanical components that are no longer covered by your original car manufacturer’s warranty. The cover can repair or replace any covered parts that fail due to a mechanical or electrical failure up to the current market value of your vehicle.

For as little as $6 per week, this can be included in your finance loan package.

Fiance48 offers Loan Protection, which will pay your loan repayments in the event that you are unable to work because of illness, injury, or disease. If you are unable to work due to one of these reasons, this facility will pay your remaining balance up until the policy limit.

This cover covers any claim that you make under the policy. It will pay in addition to any sick leave or compensation entitlements.

In the unfortunate event of theft or total loss write-off on your vehicle, GAP insurance covers any shortfall between what you owe on your finance contract at the time of the write-off and the insurance payout. It may not have been required at the time the loan contract was taken out, depending on the equity (possibly via deposit or trade-in) you had in the vehicle at the time of purchase, and what your needs were at the time of your purchase. This would also depend on what motor vehicle insurance covers you for.

Also, your GAP insurance or shortfall coverage may not cover you for the entire GAP. Depending on the coverage you have, you might be exempted from the policy.
